Wanna Greens, A Game-Changing Green Vegetable
Not a day goes by (hardly) that I am not messaged, emailed or DM’d about a revolutionary new product that will change the way we think about food, nutrition and sustainability.
It’s never actually been true…until now.
We met the genius minds behind GreenOnyx about a year ago, when our television sponsor relations partner introduced us to them. We were filming in Pugila the day we got a call from Keith explaining that a revolutionary food was about to hit the market and they wanted to meet me and get me involved.
Here we go, I thought.
Little did I know that I was about to embark on a food journey with a company that truly will revolutionize the way we eat, farm and produce food.
The product, Wanna Greens is everything you want in a revolution. It’s appealing, seductive, innovative and a true game-changer.
Nutrient-Dense and Easy to Use
We talk a lot about nutrient-density. What this product brings to the table (literally) is convenience; you simply sprinkle it on anything you want to eat…and I do mean anything. There’s not a hectic life out there that has no time to fit this healthy green into a meal…any meal, with no washing, slicing or dicing. Just scoop and enjoy.
This healthy green vegetable isn’t new, Wolffia is the smallest vascular plant on earth and has been around since at least the 1700’s. Like everything old; it’s new again. Its ability to promote cellular strength, enhance longevity and prevent illness is a tribute to its natural nutrient-density. This ancient green vegetable is coming at a time when we need a cutting-edge approach to nutrition to maintain or regain our collective wellness. Let’s be honest. Our lifestyle disease statistics rival any terror Stephen King can conjure up. We need to make changes to be strong and vital for this adventure we call life and for once, it could not be easier.
So it Wolffia is so great, why isn’t it on every table in the world, in every fridge? I thought you’d ask. The truth is, that until now; until GreenOnyx applied their genius to the cultivation of this little plant, the complexity of growing Wolffia without contamination, in mass production was…prohibitive, shall we say. Thanks to the innovative thinking at GreenOnyx, the problem is solved.
We all know the value of green vegetables in our lives but so many of us don’t get what’s essential to wellness. Why? Well, I have heard every excuse from: “I don’t like them” to “I don’t have time to wash, prep and cook them” to “My family won’t eat them.”
Well, kids, this little green vegetable has taken away all of your excuses for not eating your greens. You don’t need to wash, slice, dice or cook them. Everyone who has tried these festive (seriously, they’re like a little party on your dish and in your mouth) little greens has loved them on everything from risotto to gelato. Their mild Clark Kent flavor makes them ideal for any dish, but belies their superhero powers of nutrition.
Sustainably Farmed in an Innovative Way
Sounds too good to be true, right? You might be wondering if this is legit. GreenOnyx has innovated farming to cultivate Wolffia in a closed environment, free of contamination, pesticides, herbicides or pollutants, ensuring that the Wolffia they cultivate is fresher, cleaner, with a longer shelf life than other fresh greens and offering a high nutritional profile at a low cost with minimal waste. And did I mention that they are Non GMO Project certified?
Sounds sterile? Not so fast. One of the innovations in cultivating Wolffia is that technology has allowed GreenOnyx to actually mimic nature while making cultivation efficient, clean, natural and sustainable.
Let’s Change How We Think About Food…for a Healthy Future
The goal here? To change how we think about food. To change how we think about creating wellness. I’m so thrilled to be the first television chef to introduce you to this groundbreaking food…and way of farming. You’ll see me using these bright green, gorgeous, tiny vegetables on my new season of Christina Cooks. You’ll fall in love and want them in your fridge…like now.
But hang in there; they’re on the way. I’ll keep you posted here so you’re the first to know when they’re available.
