A dreamy vacation to Florence (and Tuscany) in February! A perfect time of year to visit this amazing city and region in Italy. There are no crowds to speak of, and the weather is usually in the 50’s at night and the 60’s during the day; it couldn’t be more perfect!
Tuscany and Florence are precious for a reason. This sun-kissed region with its golden hues and vast sprawling vineyards is special each and every time you visit. And if you think you’ve seen it, think again. Every time we visit this region, we are as enchanted as the first time as we discover new and glorious things with each stay.
Florence, capital of Italy’s Tuscany region, is home to many masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture. One of its most iconic sights is the Duomo, a cathedral with a terracotta-tiled dome engineered by Brunelleschi and a bell tower by Giotto. The Galleria dell’Accademia displays Michelangelo’s “David” sculpture. The Uffizi Gallery exhibits Botticelli’s “The Birth of Venus” and da Vinci’s “Annunciation.”
We’ll visit and explore it all; and we’ll also experience the Tuscan countryside as we visit Siena, San Gimignano, Lucca and Bologna (in Emilio-Romagna). Of course, there will be wine and olive oil tastings, luscious lunches at wonderful restaurants; and special dinners prepared by Christina…what more can you ask for?

In Florence, you’ll be staying at https://ilguelfobianco.it/. Il Guelfo Bianco is a four star hotel in the heart of the city, just a few blocks from the Duomo, and walking distance to all of the famous sites and museums we’ll be visiting.
OUR ITINERARY
We have so much in store for you, I can’t wait for you to be there with us to experience it all. On our ‘Love Florence’ holiday, we’ll not only visit historic sites in Florence, but we’ll venture to many small Tuscan hillside villages outside the city.
THE FOOD
I hope you know us well enough to know that we will be dishing up the best that Florence and Tuscany has to offer at amazing restaurants, as well as in our own kitchen. Plant-based or not, you’ll find something luscious to satisfy your desires at the table.
