Magically suspended between the blue sky and the iridescent colored sea, the Amalfi coast is a beguiling combination of great beauty and gripping drama that is emotionally overwhelming to the senses, evoking everything from immense joy to tears as your senses attempt to absorb the totality of her majesty: coastal mountains plunge into the sea in a stunning vertical scene of precipitous crags, picturesque towns and lush forests.

OUR VILLA

San Cosma Country House is a villa recently restored to its glorious past. The heavenly view of Amalfi lies before you with nearby paths to walk to the towns of Amalfi, Ravello and Minori. A pool, hot tub and relaxing hot spring all await you.

OUR ITINERARY

We’ll begin our adventure with three days in Naples, touring with our guide and dear friend Antonio Mosca, staying at Decumani Hotel in the heart of Naples historic center. We’ll visit Naples most famous sites, including: the Archaeological Museum; The Veiled Christ at the Sansevero Chapel and Museum; the medieval Castle Nuovo, erected in 1279; and of course, we’ll shop in artisan’s shops throughout the streets of this ancient city.

From there we’ll move on to Villa San Cosmo Country House in Ravello, only forty five minutes away. From here, we’ll explore and experience the world-famous Amalfi Coast and see it from two different perspectives, from land and from the sea.

We’ll visit the gorgeous towns of Amalfi, Positano, Ravello, Minori, and Gragnano; and explore and tour the ancient cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum, taking in their dramatic ruins.

We’ll feast on a special dinner at The Secret Terrace (you haven’t lived until you’ve dined here); and we’ll visit and dine at Bosco De’ Medici Vineyard, both overlook Mount Vesuvius. One more special treat; a tour, cooking class and feast at Pasta Cuomo in Gragnano, the town where pasta was pretty much invented.

There will be a couple other surprises along the way.

THE FOOD

I hope you know me well enough to know that my crew and I will be dishing up the best the Amalfi coast has to offer in our own kitchen, for two meals daily. Our luscious plant-based feasts at the villa are supplemented by one meal eaten in the city we are visiting on any given day; (and yes it is all inclusive). Robert and I have planned delicious menus to be enjoyed as we take in the magnificent sunsets over the Amalfi coast.
