Celebrating The Year

I don’t know about you, but I was seriously hoping that Covid-19 would be on the downswing by the time the holiday season rolled in. But with cases still surging, it sure doesn’t look that way.

It’s the time of year when we traditionally gather with friends and loved ones to celebrate all the blessings of our lives. And while many of us have a lot to be grateful for, there are many among us grappling with exhaustion, trauma, loss of life, loss of livelihood and loss of life as we knew it.

There will be no traditional anything this year.

Holiday Wellness

It’s that time again:

Living Like An Italian…for a Little While Anyway

It feels like a moment ago that we landed in Rome, jetlagged from an overnight flight, but eager to welcome our guests, friends and family to another epic adventure in Italy.

Converging on Albergo Santa Chiara, (http://www.albergosantachiara.com/) a gorgeous boutique hotel, perfectly situated behind the magnificent Pantheon, we could easily walk to see all the wonders of Rome…from The Vatican and its museums to the best pizza and gelato. We were in the heart of this glorious city.

Holiday Leftovers

You’ve worked all week: shopping, cleaning the house, prepping ingredients, baking and cooking for the big feast that brings us together around the table to celebrate our gratitude for abundance, life…and this year, more than ever…each other.

The table is set; the candles lit, the wine opened or chilled. The house is fragrant with the perfume of foods cooking to perfection.

Happy Holiday Season

I grew up in a wild and crazy Italian and Irish family who seemed to compete for who could yell the loudest or be the most dramatic. We were all about family, food and celebrating.
