Fire Cider

It may still be summer but cold and flu season are on the way. Make this immune-booster today, like now so you're strong and vital for cold and flu season.

Makes 1 quart

 

Ingredient List: 

1/2 cup finely grated fresh horseradish

1/2 cup finely grated fresh ginger

1/2 cup finely grated fresh turmeric

1/2 cup finely diced white onion

10 gloves minced fresh garlic

2 finely diced fresh jalapeno peppers

grated zest and juice of two lemon

10 black peppercorns

3 sprigs fresh rosemary

3 (maybe a little more) cups unpasteurized organic apple cider vinegar

1/4 cup brown rice syrup

Step By Step Instructions: 

Put all prepared ingredients, except brown rice syrup in a one-quart mason jar.  Pour to cover with the apple cider vinegar.  Cover with a plastic lid (do not use metal). Sety aside in a cool, dry place to infuse for 6 weeks (shake every few days).

 

Thoroughly squeeze through cheese cloth.  Stir brown rice syrup into finished preparation until dissolved.  Refrigerate and drink two ounces (2 tablespoons) daily.
